Southern Arizona Japanese Cultural Coalition (SAJCC) is hosting our 6th New Year’s festival, with new location at Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W. River Rd. (east of La Canada Drive, north side).
First New Year’s mochi pounding festival was held at Yume Japanese Gardens, then at Rhythm Industry Performing Center (home of Odaiko Sonora), with the next three years at Pima Community College Downtown campus. The Tucson Japanese Festival 2019 has grown larger, and will be moved to the lovely Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, with the same Japanese activities for children and adults, delicious food (takoyaki, ramen, etc.) and musical/dance performances. Door prizes will be given out as in past years.
Ticket price is still the same: $5 adults, free for children 5 years and under.
Updates will be on here on our website and our FB page:
